Millville is located in the southern area of Cumberland County. It is less than an hour’s drive to great Jersey Shore resort towns like Cape May and Wildwood, and it’s an hour from Philadelphia and just over two hours away from New York City. Millville features many Victorian homes in its downtown Glassworks Arts District.
Millville History and Events
Millville is a unique town with a rich history of artisan glass production that prides itself on creating events that celebrate local artists. On the third Friday of each month, locals and small business owners come together to encourage local commerce and local artist works. Locals can purchase from selections of pottery, glass art, paintings and illustrations, while enjoying live music and theater shows.
But this town offers much more than art-related festivities. The public parks such as Corson Park feature plenty of space for children to play, and access to the Maurice River where adults can fish, walk, or kayak. Fishing, jet-skiing, and other water-related activities are quite popular in Millville.
That’s not all – Millville is the home of New Jersey Motorsports Park, which features multiple auto racing series, go-kart racing for kids and adults, paintball and much more. The racetrack is home to plenty of tourism and community events, and is a favorite destination of locals.
